Recovery Programs

Welcome House offers comprehensive recovery programs designed to help men overcome substance use disorder and rebuild their lives. Our evidence-based approach, combined with peer-to-peer support, ensures that each individual receives the personalized care and encouragement they need to succeed.

What is a Recovery Program?

A recovery program is more than just a plan for overcoming substance use disorder—it’s a comprehensive approach to rebuilding a meaningful and fulfilling life. At Welcome House, our recovery programs are designed to address the physical, emotional, and social aspects of recovery, offering a structured path to long-term success.

Each part of our program is crafted to meet residents where they are, providing the tools, support, and accountability needed at every stage of their journey. From stabilization and skill-building to planning for life after Welcome House, our programs empower residents to take control of their recovery while fostering a sense of community and purpose.

Explore the key components of our recovery programs below to see how we help residents transform their lives, one step at a time.

Our recovery programs are rooted in evidence-based practices designed unique needs of each participant. We emphasize a whole-person approach to recovery, addressing physical, mental, and emotional well-being. Welcome House offers a structured continuum of care through our Partial Flex Program (PFP), CORE Recovery Program (CORE), and CORE Plus Program (CORE+), designed to meet residents at their current stage of recovery and support their journey toward sustained sobriety.

Partial Flex Program (PFP)

The Partial Flex Program is designed for individuals who need a structured yet flexible approach to recovery. This program focuses on providing a supportive environment to establish stability, accountability, and the foundation for sustained recovery. Participants benefit from access to recovery meetings, peer support, and essential services while maintaining the flexibility to manage work, family, or other responsibilities.

Partial Flex Program

The Partial Flex Program (PFP) at Welcome House is an alternative to our Core Program, offering support for men facing substance use disorder. Designed to provide right-sized care, this program allows participants to receive the same rehabilitative and structured services as the Core Program within a shorter and flexible time frame—up to 4.5 months. PFP is ideal for men who: Have a history of sobriety and recovery but experienced a short relapse & need support to get back on track. Have an existing recovery and supportive network, are not homeless and have stable employment/ income. Need a temporary structured sober environment while waiting for a bed in a traditional inpatient facility, a move or geographical change or some other alternative intervention.

CORE Recovery Program (CORE)

The CORE program provides a comprehensive, structured approach to recovery over the course of 6-9 months. Residents progress through three levels, each focusing on critical aspects of sobriety and personal growth: Level 1: Recovery basics, principles, and goals. Level 2: Living sober, developing accountability, and building responsibility. Level 3: Discharge planning, preparing for life after Welcome House, and long-term recovery strategies. Participants in the CORE program engage in classes, recovery meetings, and mentoring to address the physical, emotional, and social dimensions of recovery. This structured program equips individuals with the tools and confidence to maintain sobriety and rebuild their lives.

CORE Recovery Program (CORE)

Spanning 6-9 months, the CORE Program focuses on stabilization, personal accountability, and long-term recovery. The CORE Program is ideal for men who: Are seeking a long-term, structured recovery program to establish sustainable sobriety. Require a stable living environment to address substance use disorder while developing life skills and a recovery plan. Need to build or rebuild their recovery and support network while gaining accountability and responsibility through a phased program. Are motivated to commit to a full continuum of recovery services, including group meetings, counseling, and discharge planning.
